Geometry Dash Butterfly Effect
Geometry Dash Butterfly Effect
Geometry Dash: Butterfly Effect is an Easy Demon-rated 10-star level created by Linco. This is basically a simplified remake of the famous Nine Circles level. It has a teal-saturated color scheme and features many mini-wave segments within it. These require high wave management ability and quick reactions from the player. The level includes several parts with fake lines, size changes, gravity changes, and a number of sawblade and spike obstacles for unique gameplay.
Overview of the gameplay
0-12%: The level begins with a devious cube section, which introduces multiple fake lines and trick jump rings in an attempt to deceive the player. This section requires perfect timing and understanding of the mechanics to avoid being misled by fake paths.
13-26%: After the cube section, the player enters a high-speed ship segment. This section isn't too tricky, and you can essentially autopilot the second half of it, gliding through without much input.
26-28%: Then comes a short auto cube segment, where the beat suddenly drops in the music and speeds up. This section serves as a slight interlude before the real intensity begins.
29-100%: The player proceeds to an extremely difficult triple-speed wave section with bogus lines, size changes, and many obstacles, such as sawblades and spikes. This wave part starts off normal-sized and with normal gravity but gets increasingly more complicated. There will be size changes, with smaller passageways and trickier mini-wave sections. Near the end, there is a rather long, wide hallway with pieces of broken sawblades before another mini-wave segment. The level ends with a mixed-sizes wave duel, which, quite obviously, is the most challenging. If one goes on, they have one final triple-speed wave before they hit a half-speed shift, effectively ending the level. The short half-speed easy spam part at the end shows the name of the creator on the bottom, "LINCO".
Tips of Geometry Dash: Butterfly Effect
- Get Your Fundamentals Down: Before attempting to run Butterfly Effect, you'll want to make sure you're comfortable with wave control and have decent reaction time. This level relies heavily on both, especially during the wave segments of the level.
- Practice Makes Perfect: The practice mode will help with getting used to every section, especially the parts with a cube and wave. Finding fake lines and trick jump rings will save you from many unnecessary deaths.
- Focus on Timing: The manifold gravity shifts and speed changes in the level require accurate timing. Listen for music cues that will help you time your movements and jumps.
- Wave Duel: The main challenging part of the level is the final wave duel; stay calm and just get through the mix of sizes and tight spots. The more you practice, the more muscle memory will pay off.
- Use Checkpoints: You can set checkpoints during practice mode so you work on tricky parts instead of starting all over from scratch. You can master difficult sections and build confidence.
- Adjust Your Settings: If it's too fast or overwhelming, change the speed settings to a pace where you are comfortable.
Geometry Dash's Butterfly Effect is renowned for its incredibly unique design and, at the same time, smart usage of fake lines and obstacles. Being among the most manageable levels in Nine Circles, it still allows one to get sufficient adrenaline and a real feeling of satisfaction from passing difficult obstacles. With persistence, routine practice, and great focus, you can master this level and feel the excitement of successful obstacle takedowns.
